Queenies are small dollies made almost entirely from recycled materials and no two are the same. They are not perfect and neat, nor are they meant to be. They are perfectly imperfect, with a slightly wonky wing or messy beady crown. They can sit on a table or hang on the wall. They come in various forms, all feature a positive message on their bellies, wire wings and beaded wire crowns, both of which thoroughly wreck my nail polish, I'll have you know.
 
Queenies are pretty popular wee things, so they are often showing out of stock in the e Shop. This listing is to order one or more Queenies of your choice to be made for you if none are available for immediate sale. I can usually fill your order within a week. There are seven sayings in English and three in Te Reo, I'll be in touch as soon as your order is place to confirm which saying you want on your Queenie, and then I will get stitching!

Aroha Atu, Aroha Mai - translates to Love received, Love returned
Awhi Mai, Awhi Atu is from a Maori proverb meaning when we show care for others, they will return care to us.
Tukua kia tū takitahi ngā whetū o te rangi is "Let each star in the sky shine it's own light". This was quote that I found when I did my Matariki dolls a few years ago and my take on it is that we all have a light to shine, we are all unique and fabulous in our own way.
